Appointments
All offers of employment are subject to a satisfactory report from Disclosure Scotland (criminal records check) and two satisfactory references. All new employees receive a one to one Induction with Human Resources plus an additional departmental induction with their new line manager or designated mentor.
Terms and Conditions
Salary is paid monthly to all staff on the third last working day of every calendar month directly by bank giro credit to a bank account of choice. Salary scales are benchmarked against the Further Education sector and cost of living increases are annually reviewed and negotiated with Trade Unions.
Annual Leave for lecturing staff is 60 days and for support staff is 41 days, both inclusive of public holidays. Annual leave for lecturing staff is fixed in accordance with normal teaching holidays. Annual leave for support staff has to be requested and approved by line management.
Hours of work for lecturing staff are 32.5 hours per week and 36.25 hours per week for support staff.
