As part of its commitment to continuous quality improvement, Edinburgh's Telford College was keen to obtain the Investors in People (IiP) standard and first achieved the IiP standard in July 1999. The College has successfully maintained accreditation through regular reviews, the most recent of which was in September 2010.
Investors in People is a national quality standard which sets a level of good practice for improving an organisation's performance through its people. Accredited organisations have to show a commitment to staff development, clear planning for the future, taking actions to improve performance and an understanding of the impact of this development.
