Burlington English is a new and revolutionary platform for language learning, available FREE to all learners at the College. Combining in-class lessons with online modules, learners can access Burlington English anywhere and at any time, with programmes that cater to English levels equivalent to IELTS 3.0/3.5 at level 1 and IELTS 5.5/6.5 at level 4.
The Burlington English system uses cutting-edge speech recognition technology via a lightweight headset and microphone. Learners are provided with feedback and instruction to correct pronunciation and to determine specific difficulties based on each learner’s native tongue.
An additional unique feature of the system is the option to study vocabulary specific to subject or career areas including; Accounting, Business, Law, Care Giving, Finance, Hospitality, Nursing, Medicine, IT, Office Life, Travelling and Teaching.

Burlington English 1-2-1 Support Sessions
Many learners may choose to explore the Burlington English platform independently although it is strongly recommended to attend the 1-2-1 Burlington Support Sessions.
Burlington Learners who would like further support or guidance can book dedicated 1-2-1 support sessions in 20 minute blocks that run on a weekly basis in the LRC (Room S108) at the following times - Tuesday: 11.00-14.00, Wednesday: 16.00-17.00 and Thursday: 08.30-11.30.
Please Note: Learners should book the 1-2-1 support sessions by choosing their preferred day and time from the availability on the booking calendar kept at the LRC reception desk.
