Course Overview

Edinburgh College is excited to announce the inception of our new third-year honours degree in collaboration with Kingston University London. Taught at our Milton Road campus by highly qualified and experienced lecturers this degree will equip you with the skills to succeed in the sound production/music technology industry.

Our BMus is a one-year top-up degree open to applicants with an HND from Edinburgh College or elsewhere.
What You Will Learn
-
  • Students complete a major project in their chosen discipline – technology, composition, dissertation or performance 
  • You will choose two further modules from The Studio Musician, Live Performance, Technology, Music and Sound for Image, Current Debates in Music Education.
Entry Requirements

  • The details of interview/portfolio requirements will be given on application
  • Good pass in HND Sound Production or related subject (A/B pass in Graded Unit 2)
  • Successful completion of an interview/audition where requested
English Proficiency Requirements

  • IELTS 6.5
How the course is assessed

  • Assessment is through project work and written assignments.
