This is a Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) course that aims to prepare candidates for the City & Guilds 2377 examination. This vocational course gives you the opportunity to carry out in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment at Edinburgh College’s Sighthill campus. 

What You Will Learn

  • Understand the legal requirements for the maintenance of electrical equipment 
  • Carry out practical in-service inspections and tests on electrical equipment 
  • Identify the suitability of electrical equipment for use 
Entry Requirements

  • As this is a difficult course an electrical background is desirable for a successful completion 
English Proficiency Requirements

  • IELTS 5.5
