THIS COURSE IS SPECIFICALLY FOR SENIOR PHASE SCHOOL PUPILS WHILE STILL AT SCHOOL.
This course includes the technical and creative sides of photography. The course comprises a series of units covering basic camera controls and use research skills and Digital Imaging. These skills are then combined in the thematic course project. The student selects a theme and produces a body of work expressing their interpretation of the chosen theme the work is then presented and externally assessed by SQA. This is a project-based award which has produced some outstanding work for the college.
The course runs two days per week, therefore, the student will be expected to carry out work out with the college times. National 5 Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications accredited by the SQA are typically studied at high school and college. These qualifications act as pathways to further study including university entry. Edinburgh College offers a selection of subjects at National 5 Higher and Advanced Higher level on a part-time basis. You may choose to study up to two subjects. For classes taking place during the day you come to college twice a week for a two-hour class.
