You will study the practical skills you need, working in professional purpose-built digital radio studios. The course provides a foundation in a wide variety of essential areas including Broadcasting, Interviewing, Music Programming, Digital Operations, Newsroom Operations and Radio Commercials Production. Digital Production and Digital Post Production are also key features of the course structure.
The college radio station, Edinburgh College Radio, provides you with the exciting opportunity to broadcast regularly, giving you real hands-on experience. You will also benefit from industry-related talks and visits from Forth FM Studios and the BBC which ensure the course is up-to-date and relevant to the radio industry of today. The course has close ties with the Bauer Academy, which is run by Bauer Radio, owners of Forth, Clyde and Kerrang! Radio.
