Supporting the community
Edinburgh's Telford College has built successful partnerships with the local community over many years. And we are always looking to expand and strengthen these links.

Who do we work with?

From local regeneration to ethnic minority support, arts promotion to homeless issues, we work with a huge range of organisations. We also have close ties with Community Learning and Development, schools, youth and carers’ centres close to the College.

We are actively involved with a number of community organisations. These include CORE (Community Organisation for Race Equality), Forth Neighbourhood Partnership, North Edinburgh News and our local Community Councils.

We are always keen to involve partners in our planning for education, training, guidance and employment opportunities in the local community. A range of information on local services can be found at www.youredinburgh.info/engage or the Community Directory of the North Edinburgh News.

If you would like to contact us with any suggestions or feedback please email us at community@ed-coll.ac.uk.

Widening access to education

We aim to meet the needs of specific groups of learners, in partnership with community organisations. For example, our annual evening class programme is hosted by The City of Edinburgh Council Adult Education Team and local schools.
