Plans for session 2020/21
Our campuses are currently closed until Monday 15 February 2021, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and in line with government and public health guidance. Staff are working from home to support students with their studies and we will continue to monitor the situation and keep our Edinburgh College community up to date with the latest information and guidance. 

The College's main priority and guiding principle continues to be to ensure the health and safety of all of our staff and students.

Working from home

Please read this IT Working from Home Staff Guide to help you with accessing College systems from home. 

If you only need to access the following programmes as part of your role, you do not need to log in to the College's Remote Desktop Services (RDS) as these can all be accessed via a web browser. 

Using this work-from-home option would support the College greatly by releasing pressure on its Remote Desktop Services.

Training and Support 

To help staff with continuing to work from home and with delivering courses and services online, a training and support programme is available. Find out more about the training available via the Moodle Staffzone and the Learn, Develop and Connect Planner on the Staff Intranet. 

Mental Health and Wellbeing 

Our main priority remains the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and students. We encourage you to speak to your line manager if you are struggling. 

You can also contact our Employee Assistance Programme, PAM Assist. Call 0800 882 4102 to access free and confidential support. This service is also available online The website log in details are as follows: Username: edinburghcollege and Password: edinburghcollege1. 

Staff also have free access to mental health and wellbeing platform SilverCloud which offers a wide-range of self-help programmes for people who may need support during this time. Click here for more information and to sign up to SilverCloud.

Our #ECCares campaign will continue to run throughout this time to help support the mental health and wellbeing of our staff and students.
